She continued to explain that only Ellipticals and Treadmills are subject to this policy. ![]() I explained to the CSR that I had returned many an item in the past without any hassles and did not think that it would be an issue in this instance either. But once again, I was only met with the same "policy" as stated above, but I was told that it was my fault for not asking about their return policy before I purchased the item. Not really believing what was happening I decided to contact Canadian Tire's Customer Support line. They would allow Canadian Tire to refund my money.So after further pleading they said they would follow up with the manufacturer on my behalf to determine if one of the following options would be allowed. They said no! Because I had opened the box it was no longer returnable. I decided that I no longer wanted an exchange but rather a full refund. Not expecting any issues, as I had returned many an item to Canadian Tire in the past, I was met with "I'm sorry, but you will have to contact the manufacturer and deal with them directly to resolve your issue." After pleading with them, I tried to explain that I felt that this wasn't fair of them to "hang me out to dry" on a product they had just sold me. I was unable to return the machine until the following Monday (Jan 18). ![]() When I brought the machine home I spent two gruelling hours assembling it only to discover that the machine was defective. I purchased the machine on Sunday January 10th, 2010. We decided to pick it up at Canadian Tire. Our machine of choice was a Bladez Inspirit. ![]() I was going to purchase an elliptical exercise machine so my wife and I could get some workouts in while looking after our two year old daughter.
